Fellow MACA Members Sarah Fronheiser (Cambridge PD) and Megan McMillen (Medford PD) will co-present on Power BI. Power BI is an interactive data visualization software product developed by Microsoft. It can help connect disparate data sets, transform and clean the data into a data model and create charts or graphs to provide visuals of the data.
Sarah and Megan will demo and demonstrate how they use Power-BI. The Cambridge PD currently uses this platform for several internal products and hoping to produce external products soon. They will discuss what version they use, demo how they create their products, how they are updated and how the internal and external end users can access them.
There is a free version of Power- BI available for download (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/products/power-bi/getting-started-with-power-bi).
The meeting will be held at Medford Police Department (100 Main Street, Medford, MA) on Aug 22 from 10-12pm.
