November MACA meeting -NESPIN/RISS

This month Mario Oliveira (Eastern Mass. Law Enforcement Coordinator For the New England State Police Information Network (NESPIN) will be providing an in-depth overview of all the services and systems NESPIN/RISS can provide.  The mission of the Regional Information Sharing Systems (RISS) Program is to assist local, state, federal, and tribal criminal justice partners by providing adaptive solutions and services that facilitate information sharing, support criminal investigations, and promote officer safety. This training will serve as a certified training through NESPIN – where each LE attendee can be granted access and have an account set up.  Due to the nature of these resources, ALL are welcome to attend the training, but access is to the systems will be limited to LE only.  This training will run the full 2 hours.

This training will cover theses platforms-RISSafe, RISSIntel, RISS Officer Safety Website, RISSLeads Investigative Website, Law Enforcement Websites Hosted on RISSNET, Drug Pricing Reference Guide, RISS Master Telephone Index (MTI), RISS Money Counter Network (MCN), RISS Property and Recovery Tracking System (RISSProp)

This training will also cover these additional services RISS can provide - RISS analysts develop specialized analytical products to aid in the identification, detection, and apprehension of suspects. These products include highly complex and specialized: Flowcharts, Link charts, 2D and 3D crime scene diagrams, Telephone toll analysis reports, Financial analysis reports. We will also hear about Computer forensics analyses, Audio/video enhancement services. Investigative Support and Research, Audio and Video Enhancements, Digital Forensics, and Specialized Equipment NESPIN has to offer

NESPIN is making a push to do department wide trainings and will come to your department to compete this.  This month meeting can also be used as a platform to discuss department wide training opportunities with Mario.
