EPD and UASI agencies an now Lynn PD have been using eSpatial as a mapping tool. We have had great success in using the product – which allows for cross agency collaboration and mobile map sharing.  Liam and Rachel from eSpatial will be demoing eSpatial. EPD will talk about  and show some use cases where this software has benefited our unit/ dept.

EPD was using MapPoint North America and has access to ArcGIS.  MapPoint is fine for in house projects but cannot be easily shared with officers on the go or with reginal departments.  ArcGIS our training  were not sufficient to make the CAU proficient and there is no support/ GIS staffing in Everett for this tool.

eSpatial works similarly to MapPoint - it allows the user to transform data from  CRM and spreadsheets into visualized maps in seconds.  It has the same functionality as MapPoint but allows for advanced collaboration and sharing, and it is accessible across multiple devices from any location.  Additionally, It comes with a Mobile version.

Data can be edited in Excel or Access and easily uploaded.   From the website-- Plot and Label Your Data for Quick Visualizations . "You can plot and label your  data in eSpatial, just as you have been doing in MapPoint. You can layer multiple datasets and style them for quicker understanding and analysis. eSpatial provides you with advanced styling options<> such as custom symbols, optimized labels, color by value, size by value, symbol by value and visual heat maps. And with over 30 basemaps to choose from, you can ensure that your data speaks for itself on a map."

Platform costs includes access to tech support. The Territory Management feature would be useful for Compstat and route deployment and again having this mobile is a huge help.
