August MACA Meeting

The August MACA meeting will be held on August 22 at 10 am at the Olin Center at Tufts University (Packard Ave., Medford).  Medford PD will be hosting and they have representatives from Offender Watch presenting on their offender program which Medford is using to track their sex offenders.  The software allows searching offenders by demographics and also produces alerts for any out of state arrests/contacts associated for them.  It allows for querying beyond what SORB allows and allows for searches involving height, weight, sex, identifying marks and specific area.  They also include a few other products that help with offender tracking.  Feel free to invite the officer from your department who is assigned to sex offender registration. 

Offender Watch will also be providing lunch at the end of the meeting.

Parking is available at the Dowling Hall Garage, 419 Boston Av, Medford.  Once in the parking garage, take the elevator to the top floor and use the bridge out the back and head across the street, once you pass the brick building turn right and you’ll be looking towards the Olin Center and Packard St.  Should be about a 5 minute walk.  Once you've reached the Olin Center for Language and Cultural Studies you can proceed to room 007.
